Barbara Koz Paley

Founder and CEO

Barbara Koz Paley is the Founder and CEO of Art Assets, a 22 years old art consulting firm that develops financial tools for the real estate industry and the business community. Art Assets acts as the bridge for the collaboration among Artists, Architects and Real Estate Developers.

Barbara uses art and culture to re-envision, brand and reposition properties for Art Assets’ clients. Guided by her understanding of Creative Placemaking, Barbara has been a principal in many real estate transactions that have targeted the creative professional and catalyzed neighborhood change. Atlantic Gardens is featured in the December 2012 issue of Urban Land.

A creative connector of people, places, and art in between. Barbara received her B.S. in Social Psychology and Fine Arts from Boston University. Civic Affiliations include Urban Land Institute: Urban Development Mixed Use Council, Women’s Leadership Initiative Development Chair; Harvard University: Real Estate Academic Initiative; and Columbia Business School: Lang Entrepreneurial Center, where she was awarded their first Distinguished Mentor Award.

Clients include JP Morgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, Taconic Investment Partners, Moelis & Company, Jones Lang LaSalle, Hines, Clarion Partners, Grubb & Ellis, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Hewitt Associates and CB Richard Ellis.
She helped create Realty Advisory Services, a real estate and advisory fund which purchased value-added commercial properties. Founding partners include pension funds, banks, and corporate and real estate professionals.
Barbara has been a principle in many real estate transactions that have transformed neighborhoods and have targeted the creative professional. All along the way, the Urban Land Institute acted as her guide.
